We had an amazing Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It was spent with all of our family and that it truly the most important thing of all.

We started off the two day extravaganza with a Christmas Eve party at Kyle's parents. It was a lot of fun getting to see his dad's side of the family and Jeremiah sure enjoyed playing with his second cousins (Kyle's cousin's kids). Around 9:30pm it took an ugly turn though :(......Jeremiah on accident ran into someone and fell down with his left leg landing behind him and his right leg in front of him. He immediately started crying and wouldn't put any pressure on the LEFT leg (he broke the right leg last September). I quickly picked him up and tried to comfort him but nothing I did seem to make him feel better....which is odd because he normally just bounces right back (he's just super tough like that). About 10 minutes after it happened I decided that we needed to take him to the ER and have his leg looked at since he was still not using it and was still crying (like last time he broke his leg). We got to the ER and got in really quickly....they did an X-RAY of his leg and determined that there was NOT a break that they could see (3 ER docs & 1 pediatric Ortho doctor looked at the X-RAY). They still splinted it per my request (since last time he broke his leg they also were unable to see the break since it was super small). Once it was splinted he was fine and didn't complain much. We left the ER around 1am...that was one LONG day. Many people were telling us that they felt sorry that we had to deal with this on Christmas Eve but all we could think of were all the really sick children in the hospital....we are beyond blessed to have such a healthy child and cannot thank God enough for that.

Christmas Day we woke up and did a few presents and breakfast at our home and then took off to my parents. By that time Jeremiah had already started standing on the splint and trying to walk (maybe a good sign since last time he broke his leg he didn't walk on the splint for 2 weeks). We had an amazing time just hanging out with my family and my Papa and Grandma. My mom made AMAZING lasagna and we had an Italian Christmas...SUPER YUMMY. Jeremiah got a ton of fun toys from my parents and my grandparents including his first skateboard and scooter...hopefully he can use them soon. Thank you again everyone for such a wonderful laid back Christmas at the Christy's.

Christmas Night we spent it at Kyle's parents again and with his mom's side of the family. We had a huge turkey dinner with tons of sides and desserts...we were stuffed by then. We had a wonderful time hanging with his family......we LOVE both of our families...THEY ARE AMAZING! By this time Jeremiah had started walking on his leg pretty good with out really complaining. Kyle got some great stuff for our new home (hopefully we get it...hehe)....including a work bench that his dad is going to custom make, a new 5 drawer tool holder thing from craftsman and some other fun stuff. I got some photography stuff from them and Jer got TONS of tons....we actually had to leave some of them there because they wouldn't fit in our car.

The next day Jeremiah was fully using his leg and wasn't complaining at all....YAY

Today we took the splint off because he broke the splint (since it isn't supposed to be walked on). He complained a little more with the splint being off and isn't as comfortable walking with out it. I try every once and a while to determine where the pain is and have yet to find out where it is. He doesn't really cry at any one place and since he has been using it I have just been PRAYING that he just rolled or twisted his ankle or pulled a muscle. We have an appt. with the Pediatric Ortho on Monday to determine if he broke it again...Please pray that he didn't and that the pain will just go away. In the ER they said his bones looked GREAT and showed no sign of any bone problems (like brittle bone disease)...THANK YOU LORD...that was a big concern of mine when he first hurt it. I have only had to give him Tylenol about 1 to 2 times a day....which is good. Thank you for any prayers...we really appreciate it...we don't want our little guy to be hurting or have to wear a cast for another month :(.
