Jeremiah Turned One!!!

I really can't believe that Jeremiah turned 1 yesterday....it makes me so sad because it means he is growing up. It truly feels like he was born yesterday and if that is the case then I am going to blink my eyes and he is going to be 10 :(. This year has been such a blessing to me and Kyle because we really found out what TRUE HAPPINESS and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE is.....it is when you child looks in your eyes and smiles at you....it is when they curl up and and fall asleep in your arms....it is when they light up and start flailing their arms as soon as you walk in the door....it is when they start squealing while seeing something for the first time. After becoming a mother I realized that not being a parent is "good" at all times (pretty much...you get to eat, sleep and do whatever whenever you want).....however, parenthood is "hard" and "Phenomenal" all at the same time....you have times where you don't get much sleep, have a screaming child, don't get to eat for hours on end, have poop on your clothes etc......However the "Phenomenal" times FAR exceed any experience you could have while not being a parent. Thankfully me and Kyle have been with Jeremiah for all of his "Firsts"....which I am so thankful to Kyle for....he has NEVER had to go to a daycare or a babysitter (besides my mom and kyle's mom). Staying home with Jeremiah has been an amazing experience and I wouldn't trade if for the world. Jeremiah is ALWAYS surrounded with people who truly love him and are looking out for him. Jeremiah will always know what "LOVE" is, because he experiences it all day every day from our family and friends. Thank you everyone for giving Jeremiah so much of you "LOVE"...that is not something we could ever buy or "register for" but something that we will forever cherish.

Well enough of the sappy stuff.....On Tuesday (his actual birthday) we started the morning off with the living room fill with balloons....he really enjoyed that. After he woke up from his morning nap (around 11am) we took off for DISNEYLAND (his first time ever). Jeremiah absolutely LOVED Disneyland and was a GREAT sport all day. We started off by going on the "Pirates of the Caribbean" (bad idea of mine) and to say the least he DIDN'T like it (well the drops at least)....after the drops he was fine. We then went onto "Winnie the Pooh" which he LOVED and then we went to "It's a Small World" which was a total HIT....he had to ride it TWICE :). After every ride we had to stop and let him get his wiggles out by running around (which was a nice break for us too). He took a nap in his stroller about 5 hours into our Disney experience which allowed us to eat dinner (good timing). After that we decided to take him to "TOON TOWN" (great idea by Kyle) and Jeremiah LOOOOOVED it. I think we spent about 2 hours going through Minnie and Mickey's homes and this little kids play area. Disneyland really caters to small children which is so nice because you don't have to constantly be telling them "no, don't touch that". Jeremiah wanted nothing to do with Pluto (he actually screamed) but was ok with Mickey. We decided to actually get Disneyland annual passes which will be a blast to use. Thank you everyone for the text messages, voice messages and emails regarding our big guy's special day :). Well his birthday was a WONDERFUL experience.....enjoy the slide show.

Our baby is 1 year old :-)

We have decided to get Disney passes with you - so we can go off and on throughout the year for a few hours at a time. Fun, fun, fun!
